Hi

i received the first two emails for order confirmation and credit check today, both went well

About 6ish this evening i get another saying the item is out of stock !

hopefully this is not the case but just in case i have a couple of questions

1: Is this item really out of stock, if so why doesnt it reflect that on the site ?

2: is this the same (hopefully) email fiasco that hit the launch of the Nexus last year when pre-order customers were wrongly sent this mail ?

Well, *touch wood*, I've had no emails regarding the Sensation being out of stock. However, I did pre-order mine the day it became available for pre-order via the site. Maybe there's been a bit too many pre-orders...

I've also got the out of stock e-mail on Monday as well as another one today sayiny we are still working on your order.

Never got my credit check email but as i got teh order email i'll assume its fine.

Well, they've never been IN stock.. hence the pre-order option =/

I got the same 'out of stock' message as you Frost. I phoned customer services but they were pretty useless. The guy said that he couldn't tell me if they'd sold the preorder stock or if they hadn't arrived yet. I told him they shouldn't offer the preorder on the website if they didn't have the phone, and he just said that they ship them in order of priority. i.e. signing up for pre-order doesn't mean that you've secured a phone, which makes the preorder system a bit pointless in my opinion. Don't know if I'll be getting my phone or next week or not.

That was my first dealing with vodafone customer services, and it wasn't very positive...

I decided to to upgrade to the Sensation. I placed the order online and quickly received a email confirming my order. I then spoke to BCS who checked with the online shop staff. The Sensations are in stock and should be out on Monday or Tuesday.

I heard a similar thing earlier this week.  Phoned back to check today as I was told it could have been today or monday that it might be available.  I was then told it definitely wouldn't be available to anyone until the 19th. Not sure what to make of that.

Hi All,

Just to provide an official view, HTC Sensation isn't out of stock; we haven't launched it yet!
We're looking into why these emails have been sent to a small number of people, but pre-order customers should ignore the out of stock message.
Our anticipated launch date for HTC Sensation is 19th May, as indicated on the pre-order page and customers will receive a despatch notification when their handset is on the way

Tom, any unofficial thoughts on whether the Monday/Tuesday availability might be true or not?

My understanding was that the phones would be despatched from Monday 16th, with delivery from Thursday 19th.

I certainly saw a message about release on 16th during the order process and have since seen a message saying handsets will be with customers on the 19th.

Well I'm getting mine delivered to my local Vodafone store, which I hope might mean an early delivery.  Fingers crossed!

Spoke to vodafone about it today online sales said that they are due the stock in warehouse on Thursday.

Ive heard that i will certainly get it on Thursday, although i think everyone hears different things. I haven't even got my phone yet and i'm getting doubts with vodafone due to inconsistent answers. Can a moderator look into this please and give us a concrete answer please?
