many G1 users have the same problem.
i am getting a error during setting up my ntlworld email account.
anyone as manage to set a email account other then gmail?
lets get some input guys

First of all, great choice of phone!

Normal POP3 accounts have to be set up manually through the POP email function, rather than the main email client, so can you confirm you're definitely trying to do it this way? To do this, just go to the main screen, drag the bottom menu open and tap "Email" and then enter your settings. incoming emails are ok,but when i try to setup the outgoing setting it give a error "unable to open connection to server".
i tried different setting on the outgoing tabs but no luck.

Hi guinness,

Can I just double check you're using send.vodafone.net and not your email provider's own server as your outgoing server? It has to be ours for a standard setup as most providers block access to their email servers from mobile services.

btw the contacts sync with the goggle account ,i am wondering that if by mistake i delete all my contact in my magic would delete all the contact to the account or the other way around right???any way to stop this to happen?
