Problems with HTC Wildfire S

Hi
OK I am new to the forum and have joined to see if anyone has any solutions.
I have an HTC Wildfire S which I bought only 3 months ago. Originally it was great. I had a system update flag up so accepted it - I am now on android version 2.3.5. Ever since that upgrade was installed the phone has been, quite frankly, pants.
Problems I am experiencing are as follows:-
1 The phone is incredibly slow. Whether bringing up my contacts list or message, it takes so much longer than any other android phone I have had. Sometimes the contacts list is so slow that by the time you scroll through and press the contact you need, it ends up dialing the wrong person as it seems to take forever to do what you have asked
2 The touch on the screen has a major delay - sometimes I find myself tapping the screen about 4-5 times to get something to happen.
3 Often the phone crashes mid-call or freezes. I am then left having to turn the phone off and back before I can do anything.
4 The new ring-pull thing is ridiculous - this only appeared after the upgrade. I find that now I can't answer calls as I can't get the pull over the answer circle which means I then miss the call. Then the message screen comes up with a message saying I am busy and will call back later. |f I try and reject that it stores the message as a draft. This is not helpful when it is a business call and I can't answer the call quickly enough and I am missing valuable business calls.
5 Just recently the phone has started dropping calls which is very frustrating as I use the phone mainly for business.
To be honest I am at my wits end with this phone already. I have tried to call Vodaphone to see if I can upgrade to anything else but the problem I am facing is that I have a 2 year contact (due to expire in 12 months) but the original phone (HTC Desire) had a little accident and got broken and it wasn't cost effective to try to get it repaired so I bought the Wildfire S as a replacement until the contract runs out ... but at £145 it was a fairly expensive phone which I feel should last more than 3 months. Vodaphone werent interested in helping, other than to try and sell me another phone until the end of the contract. They will not let me upgrade (despite the fact I was willing to pay more in an effort to get a decent phone). My only option seems to be, unless someone can help me with the Wildfire S problems, to pay up to the end of my contract and change phone. However, if I have to do that I won't be staying with Vodaphone as they don't seem to care despite the fact I have been a customer for over 7 years ![]()
Please help.

Hi lisa5533,
Many thanks for bringing this to our attention and I’m sorry to see that you are having trouble with your handset.
Unfortunately as you have 12 months remaining ion your agreement we aren’t able to offer an early upgrade as per our business rules and upgrade policy.
In regards to the issues that you are having, it does sound like it is the software update that has caused these to occur.
Can I ask if you did a factory reset after updating your software?
If not then I would recommend doing this first as it could be a case of the software has not fully applied itself and the processor is trying to run both software’s on the phone.
If this still doesn’t resolve the issue then the next step would be to send the phone away for a free of charge warranty repair.

Thanks James - yes I did a full factory reset (hoping it would remove the upgrade but it didn't) - I have also taken the phone back to the shop where I bought it and they did the same thing...no change. I will get it sent off.
Thanks for your help.
