Since the operating system updated on my Desire S I've been recieving up to 30 messages a day from "50" informing me of what dialling code area I am in. I have no option to block these messages and they are really, really annoying. Anyone got any ideas?

Its a standard service that comes through in various forms dependent on handset but follow these steps to resolve;

-Menu.
-Settings.
-Call.
-Untick Cell Broadcast

That should do it!

My htc desire hd had an update for watch and since then ive had at least 200 messages a day from '50' rang vodafone twice and couldnt help me!!!!! I have read this thread and I cant find cell broadcast by following those instructions,any help would be great!

Opologies I have now found it,I was on messages and not call.
