How well do ordinary phone calls and texts and such work since adding Rosie? Any failures so far?
Early stage review: Texts no problem, phone calls no problem. In fact most standard features work fine.
Things i really like. Contacts features are great - links to all sorts of things like facebook, flikr etc
7 - yes count them - 7 desktops
Widgets - both htc and google
music player
Major problem with speed. runs like a dog - especially when multitasking. Volume control doesnt work when phone is locked. wifi doesnt work
oh and its slow. did i mention that. in fact i would suggest that it is so slow its unusable.
Next steps:
there are a few scripts to speed up the phone
i am going to get a class 6 card and see if that helps
there is a superhero rom - i might try that
also need to find out what the ion build is.

Hi Ptekelly
Well I'm glad you got your initial internet problem resolved thanks to Andy, we're not entirely sure o what Rosie does or doesn't entail, our agreement with Google certainly prohibits us from providing support which is why the link to Rosie was removed.
As for warranty and cover there is a way we can tell whether a device has been flashed with different/unofficial firmware, think of it as a hidden log file, but then again I didn't say that,
As mentioned by Adam earlier we can't support Rosie, but if there's one thing I know it is that the temptation to modify and update firmware is like a great and mighty hunger, enveloping our users like moths drawn to the flame, we struggle on in a bid to rescue the remaining few from this curse of old.....indeed, indeed, but prevail we humble mods must, yes...prevail we must!

in other words dont do it - i know
but anyhoo the problem of flashed is only a problem if the phone dies and i will cross that bridge if i come to it
but hardware is still covered regardless
by the way there is rumor that google will release future os's unlocked - well rooted - whatever - not sure how VF will cope with that
Am off - see u soon

lol, seeing how you've probably already voided your warranty there are a couple of CPU Overclocking apps out there on the marketplace. They claim to be safe, and may interest/help you (if 1.5 apps work on rosie...). Search for CPU, one is free and the other $0.99. You have to be a rooted user, im not sure how to do that on my Magic so that probably means i shouldnt, lol
Note to everyone else: dont use them, just in case. i would have messaged ptekelly privately but apparently that option is disabled

thanks for info - yes for some reason vf dont like us to pm each other
there are some scripts i should run first that move the core apps back from sd card to memory - this probably will make a big difference given my slow card
