Hi all,

I assume the HTC Magic will receive 3G Vodafone (or an affiliate of Vodafone) network coverage in Japan and that using an eletrical adapter that it can also be charged (albeit might take longer to charge due to Japan's lower voltage).

If I'm wrong, please could you recommend alternatives (renting a phone, buying pay as you go over there, etc).

There is a network in Japan (preferred), which I think is called Vodafone KK, and my understanding is that your handset must be 3G to work in Japan,

Thank you bertyb. It can definitely operate over a 3G signal so fingers crossed it should work.

*Must remind myself to turn off all idle data activity!
