Hi there,

I have purchased a HTC Wildfire on Vodaphone PAYG and wish to unlock the handset. I understand i will have to top up the phone with at least £19.99 to cover the cost of purchasing the NUC code. My question is roughly how long will it take to receive the code after speaking to customer services and also is there definitely a NUC code available for the Wildfire as i am getting contradicting information. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

It is possible to unlock. I believe it can take 1-3 days for the unlock code to come through. (although it may take longer).

I would recommend going through an independent website to unlock as it will be quicker and cheaper. Just do a google search for it.

Welcome to the eForum it is always good to see new faces on here.

The normal lead time for an unlock code to be generated for HTC is 72 hours. Once this is raised, a NUC code will be generated so that your phone can be unlocked.

As it is a PAYG handset a charge of £19.99 is needed as a Top up on the phone.
