Update

Hi Vodafone Just wondering when we are going to receive software update, but since unbranded one is already live. Any information is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Update

I second this request. I read on XDA a minute ago that HTC are waiting for Vodafone to send their update back before it gets sent out. I'm guessing that'll be in the next day or so, but they might be too busy putting pointless Vodafone apps on it first...

Re: Update

Have any voda mods any info on this? Please don't quote the firmware stance. A few other voda countries have had theirs sent out by Htc so surely ours can't be far off.

Re: Update

I'm also interested to hear when the update is being released. Please Vodafone don't add any more of your crapware to this release. I noticted that you recently pushed an update to the Android Market that removes the "My Downloads" and turns it into something utterly useless. This is rather annoying bahaviour on your part.

Re: Update

So..... it seems that nobody from vodafone wishes to answer the question despite other european vodafone branded phones are getting the update..

Not very good support!

Re: Update

Who's to say the people in France don't have unbranded handsets? Unless you have a new SW version number you're jumping to conclusions

Re: Update

I would appreciate the update as well, very annoying not being able to use the camera from the lock screen.

Re: Update

Hi guys,

I know it's not what you want to hear, but we don't have any confirmation on a release date as yet.

As soon as we know anything, we'll be announcing it in the Latest Vodafone News section.

For those who haven't seen it previously, please check out our Firmware FAQ.

Dave

Confirmed Vodafone France and Vodafone Spain are both branded updates - 1.35.162.1 and 1.35.163.1 respectively

Re: Update

It is very poor customer service to be unable to provide any information at all when other Vodafone areas are receiving the update. As a UK listed company, surely the UK should receive a comparable service to the rest of the world?

Re: Update

Thanks for responding to this thread! If you can't give us a release date, could you tell us what stage of the process it's at? Has it been sent back to HTC or still being finished internally by Vodafone for instance?

Re: Update

@ EddyOS

I know you participitate on xda forums as well so you must know that many vodafone branded phones have recieved updates around europe.

I would not have stated that in my post if I'd not known it to be correct!

Re: Update

[ Edited ]

I know but until earlier on XDA no one had actually mentioned the FW versions - hence why I suggested they may have been unbranded. This has since been proven not to be the case and they are on Vodafone France/Spain, and I posted their versions in a previous post in this thread

Re: Update

Wasting your time guys. Vodafone will never confirm or deny anything to do with updates.

I'm interested in this too. My wi=fi is broken (unable to scan for networks) and I have been holding off sending it in for a repair in the hope that an update would sort it.

Fingers crossed it's sooner rather than later.

Re: Update

Drove from Salisbury to Exeter today and barely had a signal for the entire trip... glad I wasn't using the built in GPS.

This update better be magical.

Re: Update

It's always worth to ask a question. NO company gives any ETA untill it's set in stone, and the ones that do, usually have messed up updates. Just my 2c.
