Hi
I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this but I want to air my thoughts. I've found in recent years that these forums work very well and in my opinion are the best part of Vodafone's customer service. I've managed to speak with people who really understand the products and understand the questions I've asked.
Now I've been with Vodafone since my first mobile phone contract when I was 18 (11 years ago) and have never used any other service provider. I did used to go via Phones 4U to get my Voda contract but I soon realised they were a useless waste of time. Much better to go direct I found.
Now I do have an issue with the sales team on the phone but it's the same as any sales team, obviuosly they have their targets and commision to make, but they just don't listen or understand what I want from my contract.
I'm happy with my current contract...... sometimes I go over, sometimes I don't use half my allowance....... I'm fine with that. I like the stop the clock feature on my contact. I don't want to change that. All I want is a new phone. I don't want insurance pushed on me.... even if the first 2 months are free...... I have my own insurance through my bank which is a free service. I'm a loyal customer and just want to be treated like one. Is it that much to ask for a 12 month contract? They used to be 12 months. In my current 18 month contract I've had 4 phones. It took 3 attempts to send me a phone that worked at the start of the contract and then that one broke after just over a year. I'm not someone who bashes my phones around, but they just don't seem to survive for 18/24 months. If I break it because I dropped it then fair enough, - my fault. I'll deal with it. Now I'm sure Voda by phones in such quantity that they make a profit easily on the contracts so why do they have to tie me in for 24 months? I will come back if the service is good..... I have done. for 11 years. I got told I was being offered a deal on the phone, it wasn't a deal .... it was the same thing you'd offer to anyone irrelevant to whether they'd been with you for 11 years or were a new customer. At first it was "you have to take it 24 months to get the phone free" then after a bit of pushing I was told I could get it free on an 18 month contract too. If he'd listened to me he would have heard me say I disliked long contracts...... don't even bother trying to push a 24 month contract on me. I DON'T WANT IT!!
What does Voda offer for loyal customers? Can I not be rewarded with a 12 month contract? I'll happily keep the phone longer providing it still works and lives up to expectation.

Have to agree with everything that you have said. I dont want a 24mth contract.
I was contacted today about "upgrading to the sensation" I was really disappointed with the packages that were offered.
I think VF could maybe try a little harder to entice me to stay. I can get similar offers with VF with a bit of googling as a new customer. Maybe I was a expecting too much for someone who holds 4 accounts with VF. So far I've not seen or heard anything from VF that is making me want to stay. I'll possibly see what offers other networks are offering once VF loses the exclusive rights on the sensation.
VF feel free to contact me again if you can do better than the offer today.
