Using HTC M8 as a remote

Could somebody please tell me what I have to do to set up the M8 as a remote to my Sony TV ? thanks.

Theere should be an app in the app drawer.   It's quite comprehensive and has a lot of options.   It may not be compatible with all the functions of your TV, though.

You could also have a look in Google Play for simpler remote control apps.
