I have bought a 16 GB SD card to replace the 8 GB one that comes with the phone and I would like to know if the folders contained on the card in the phone are important and if they need to be copied onto the new card , some of the folders are empty but some of them are over 1GB in size does anyone know what these folders are for,  when I saw the phone came with an 8GB SD card I thought that I would have all that space for media files and I was quite surprised to find so much of the card taken up by other stuff.

Hi,

Cannot quite remember what comes on the card by default, but none of the files on there are important.  You get things like the PDF version of the Sensation manual, and some film trailers downloaded to demonstrate the HTC Watch software.  Also, I think there's some maps downloaded there for the HTC sat nav software.

There's nothing on there thats important, feel free to put your 16GB card into the Sensation, and the phone will create the folders it needs automatically.  I did the exact same thing with my phone and all is working well.
