Re: htc sensation bad signal

sounds similar to me, was using HTC Desire on 3 but having moved house to an area with no signal went for vodafone with sure signal as no other network could give me a reliable home signal.I only got it on the 27th DEcember 2011 I now have good signal at home and poor or no signal most other times i have tried it especially at work. I get zero bars or occasionally 1 bar if im lucky and happen to be stood in the right place. This is in  town in an area described by the coverage check as high speed for internet and email and good indoors for talk and texts in the whole surrounding area.

Im very surprised as i tried my sim in a mates nokia n95 at work and he gets full signal with my sim.

Im going to try my vodafone sim in my old HTC Desire tommorrow but as it stands to me it seems HTC went nuts trying to make the phone really powerful  but forgot that you need an antenna capable of finding good signal in order to make use of the ability of the phone either that or ive been unlucky on mine hopefully vodafone will exchange this phone for either an HTC Sensation which works in areas of at least high signal or i will be able to change to a different phone which will.

it seems i would of been better of sticking with a 2 year old HTC Desire rather than spendign the money on a better phone which doesnt work :s

(If i get a replacement HTC Sensation and it turns out i was just unlucky with this one and the new one works as intended i will take these comments about the HTC Sensations antenna back, but i can only go by my experiences so far)

Re: htc sensation bad signal

Hi aclc19

It sounds like you may have a fault with your handset if it is not picking up signal properly. The best thing to do in this instance would be to have the phone sent away for repair via one of our Vodafone stores.

Take a look at our Vodafone Repairs Thread for all the information you will need on how to get this sorted.

Thanks

Wayne

There should be a recall for these Sensations. Each owner of these phones should be sent a new back case with a better antenna or connection. Theres a lot of people with the same problem including myself.

I have had no issues with my phone since I put Icecream Sandwich out, should hit within the next 2 weeks, I really hope - for those that still use it - that Vodafone's branded ROM doesn't take too much longer.

Re: htc sensation bad signal

I have had a HTC sensation since November 2011 and struggle to make a call or keep a call.

I live in a 'mixed' area admittedly, between Nottingham and Sheffield, but it does'nt seem to matter where I am in the country as the phone very rarely has a signal long enough to sustain a conversation. Even at my desk on a business park there is very often no signal or at best one bar.

The HTC sensation may be great as a pocket computer and I cannot fault it as a digital camera but as a phone it is just atrocious.

Had a Sony K750i before upgrading and although I had some signal problems in specific areas it did at least work the majority of the time.

Am very disappointed as colleagues are on vodafone with iphones and never have any problems using their mobile at the office.

note that when you send your phone for repair, you'll keep the battery, SIM and back of the phone, which may not be what you want...

Re: htc sensation bad signal

Hi Guys,

As mentioned the best starting point with this issue is a free of charge warranty repair either through us or the manufacturer directly.

This will repair a fault with the antenna if one can be found.
