My text messages can not be sent, I can receive messages/calls. This occurred an hour or so before text from Vodafone advising me of message app update, I installed this message+ with no success. Uninstalling it did not help either. Urgently need phone tomorrow

When you say that uninstalling message+ didn't help, do you mean that you went back to the standard messaging app?  If that's the case, it sounds like a network issue.
