The update must be close to release, surely Vodafone should know that

Huawei have already announce an Offciial General version of ICS, vodafone have yet to release their version

Wouldnt it be a surprise to find out the vodafone are actually going to release JB instead of ICS.

Are other networks this slow at releasing software updates? I remember how long I had to wait for Voda to release updated software for my N97. By the time they released it there was already a new general update released.

Yawn...

Also when I bought the phone, the brochure said it actually had ICS installed on it, so I was surprised when I got home to find out it didn't have this version of Android on it. Bit cheeky. Also the girl helping me didn't really have a clue, so I didn't bother asking her anything even remotely technical. When I asked her the difference between 2 models she just said "oh, they look a bit different", lol. Anyway, I guess when they were designing the brochure they expected the software to be available by then.

This  "We are unable to comment on firmware updates" nonsense has gone on long enough !!

Too many g300 customers have been lied to (Including my self - I was told the ICS update was available for immediate download when I purchased my g300 on 01/06/2012), misled or at the very least patronised throught this sorry saga.

Stop giving us these nonsense statements and get your product manager and director of customer services to address this forum NOW !!

hmmmm.... well I have tried updating, but no success. It just tells me that there is no new update. hope this gets sorted....

I'm trying to see what it does,

"You can also perform this update manually. This can be done as follows:

Go to Settings > About Phone > Online upgrade > Firmware upgrade

This will prompt you to download the firmware upgrade to your device in the download manager."

I've installed B895 last night and this morning I checked online upgrade and there it was, ICS

Is caller ID still broken? It was taking ages to display on previous releases

If it's U8815V100R001C02B936 and they're not re-using these ID's then it's the August New Zealand broken update

Woo hoo .... amazing that no-one knows anything but it suddenly appears !

Can anyone confirm the back up utility works and I def wont lose any data ? Sounds like a daft question but I REALLY dont want to lose my contacts ! I think a back up of address book and copy to my PC will be in order before I do anything.
