APN Settings

I have a Landvo L800 Android 4.2.2 phone that is unlocked.

 

I have used a T-Mobile SIM card without problems. A friend has the identical phone and has the same problem - the T_Mobile SIM works fine but the VOdafone SIM does not.

 

My Vodafone SIM allows me to make calls and send text but no broadband,

My data connection is on, my internet settings match those on this website::

 

Pay as you go
APN: pp.vodafone.co.uk 
Username: wap
Password: wap
MMSC: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 212.183.137.12
MMS Port: 8799
MCC: 234
MNC: 15
APN Type: default,mms

 

But there are other settings which I'm not sure about:

 

Proxy: Not set

Port: Not set

Server: Not set

Authentication Type: Not set

APN Protocol: IPv4

APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4

Bearer: Unspecified

 

I have tried sending the WEB message to 40127 twice but have had no reply from either - this was the advice I received from the helpline.

 

Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi. I understand the WEB text will only support devices which are officially ranged by Vodafone. That said it is sometimes possible to manually enter Vodafone's APN settings into a non-ranged device and get it working. The settings you've listed look correct for Pay as you Go. Your best bet would be to visit a Vodafone retail store to see if they can spot anything in your settings menu that might be missing (it's hard to diagnose online without physically viewing the device)
