Broadband Dongle - Confused, how does it work?

Not applicable
Ok I bought a dongle during the week, the guy in the shop told me it would last a month.

one of the white ones, 3g, £25 quid ones.

It stopped working last night, said I had run out of credit?

The guy in the shop never said anything about that, he said i would have to put 15 quid in it every month to keep it running.

I dont really know how these things work can someone explain?

Ive bought another 15 quid voucher today and it says under balance: Expires 22/11/2010

Data allowance remaining: 3gb

What does that mean? Am i paying for gigabyts or minutes?

Hi Craigandkim and welcome to the eForum

Thanks for your post here and sorry that this was not explained in full to you.

When you purchase a pay as you go modem you get an allowance (in this case 3GB) this is how much data you have available to you to use and this needs to be used within a month.

So when you topup with £15 pounds you buy yourself, 30days and 3GB worth of data.

I hope this makes sense. If you have any more questions and we'll be happy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne
