Content Control Issue

When trying to access a site my phone tells me you cannot check that content control has been removed (although it has) and therefore won't let me on, anybody else experiencing this?

Re: Content Control Issue

Yes I got the same answer, it has been down since early afternoon. The person I spoke to didn't know how long the problem would take to resolve either. Doesn't appear to be a big concern for them as they didn't feel it was necessary to post any information on their web site about the 'temporary fault'

Perhaps the Tech Team will respond with further information.

Removing content control Issue :(

Hello.

I change my Tariff on my phone now i get this Content control Issue. my online account will not change it and i have called VF 4 times now. 2 of wish said there is a issue with the service and the other 2 one was yesterday said he will change it and one again to day but this time i got a TXT message to say it has been removed but yet i still get this issue.

I have cleaned out my cashe on my phone and also powerd it down and removed the sin. yes i know does not make a diff removing the sim but hey ho VF  always asks this question.

after a cuple more hours i still do not have access to my sites and some apps.

so i am now stuck and sins my contact how knows what i will do. been with VF 13-14 years with pay monthly. dont even know why they changed my settings i ask the gril to put me on a 30day contract will i find the phone i want (£15. insted of £35) and will nothing els change and she said yes. i asked her this 3 times she also told me i get 100MB of internet and with the £5 add on i get 500MB so i get 500MB of internet. Guess she was not good at maths so had to  teach her how to add 100+500 = 600. took me about 10mins before she understood. guess her math is as good as my spelling.

over and out

The issues with content control are now resolved.

Please could you reattempt the removal and let me know if you need further assistance?

Re: Content Control Issue

This has come up again on mine last night and is still doing it today. This is the second time now.

It's very annoying when you can't check your Lottery numbers...

Re: Content Control Issue

This issue is most definitely not resolved ! My Content Control was switched back on last night and I keep getting the same fault message appearing. Please sort it out !

Re: Content Control Issue

I also have to say that negotiating Vodaphone's site to try to find a solution to this is like going through a bloody maze ! And it's so slow too !

Re: Content Control Issue

Hello.

Content control is definitely not fixed. It has happened to me 3 times in the last week and has currently been falsely reactivated on my dongle for over 15 hours now. I have now had to join this forum to see if anyone from Vodafone will do any of the following:

1. admit it is currently broken

2. say when it will be fixed

3. offer an explanation as to what has caused it

4. offer an acceptable amount of compensation.

over to you Vodafone, but I am not exactly hopeful.

Re: Content Control Issue

Chas, I have been having he same problem for over a week now, it is sporadic; so very frustrating. Couple that to VF's bandwidth throttling and the situation is getting to the point where I am wondering what exactly I am paying for.

I pay for a mobile BROADBAND dongle, but all I get is dial-up speeds.

I agree about compensation being in order but very much doubt we get anything.

Re: Content Control Issue

Content control problems have been going on for months personally, having the problem again now-just like being unable to check data usage-vodafone dont seem to care about the customers, they seem to just take us for granted and make no effort to repair the problems.

Re: Content Control Issue

Along with the content control problems I haven't been able to get a figure for data usage for well over a week now ! I've spent a lot with this company but will be going else where if not sorted out soon.

Re: Content Control Issue

Re: Content Control Issue

Hi Guys,

We are not ignoring this thread however due to the recent increase in traffic it has meant that it is taking a little longer than normal to respond to threads.

I can confirm that we have had an issue with content control over the past couple of days which should now be resolved.

If you are still experiencing any issues please follow the instructions that I have sent you via PM so that we can confirm that the bar has not been added back to your accounts.

You can find your PM inbox here.

James

Re: Content Control Issue

And like a long lost friend it is back. For 3 days your product worked but now Content control is back. How long for this time? I will go for 7 hours. Any other guesses?

Re: Content Control Issue

There is nothing you can do. Just sit back and wait for them to find another temporary fix- just another 4 hours or so.

[ Edited ]

Again !!... A-FRICKIN-GAIN !!!!..

This is just taking the ###### !...

Well... I feel for everyone on here.... but after a £400 bill... a £298 bill (Taking into account my contract is £25 per month...

My account being suspended 3 times "By ACCIDENT" ???.... NOW THIS ?.... and to top it off... throughout the problemwith this content control... I have been blamed for "Messing about" with my Internet explorer content control... When I proved the particular jumped up oik wrong on that he hung up ?... I was then told that I would have to make a series of phone calls (At my expense)... After that I was told to take my router to a Vodafone shop ???... Not once would any of these so called "TECHNICAL people admit that it is vodafones fault !!!...

And not once have I been offered a refund as I am paying over £25 per month FOR A FULL SERVICE !!!

I am now going to find the most amateur broadband supplier that I can find and I am going to sign up with them... At least I will be safe in the knowledge that I will be getting a far more professional service than I could ever imagine from this bunch !!!..
