Content Control down again?

I have a PAYG broadband dongle (type E160X ?)...I've been using it last few years. Now and then, the  Content Control drops out for a few days. It's happened again. Sites are coming up with the usual error:  "Unfortunately due to a temporary fault we are unable to confirm if you have removed Content control".

How temporary is temporary? Is this your end or my end? I have credit cards regsitered and this was working OK until approx Sunday but has not worked yesterday or today. All normal sites (e.g. BBC) working fine. Network coverage is ok.I get the same problem in both Firefox and IE8

Tried logging in to my profile to check the content control setting and got a similar message there too.

Any ideas?

Re: Content Control down again?

Hi JeffWhitehead,

We are aware of an issue where customers are unable to view content due to the content control restriction however I believe that this issue has now been resolved.

Please can you test this again and if you are still experiencing issues please follow the instructions on the PM that I have sent you and one of our team will be able to make sure that the restriction has been lifted for you.

You can find your PM inbox here.

Re: Content Control down again?

Thanks for the reply Simon.

It fixed itself at around midnight yesterday so it's all good for now. I'll keep the PM back so if it does it again though. Cheers.

Re: Content Control down again?

It can take up to 24 hours for them to answer your post mate but they will come along and answer for you.

You can do it on the internet yourself if you've got my account. You have to pay a quid but they give you £2.50 back!

"We're sorry, but you are not permitted to change this setting. Please contact Customer Services on 191."

Lame, won't even let me do it myself.

Re: Content Control down again?

Hello myran1984,

Thanks for your post about Content Control removal.

It's not just porn that's included in the content restrictions. There are a number of other things that could be included like alcohol, gambling, lottery and others :smileywink:

So we can help get this sorted I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.

If you don't wish to wait then any of our customer service channels will be able to help remove this for you.
