There is an Optimisation Client that installs with the Vodafone Mobile Connect program which is known to cause some issues with certain VPN configurations. The quickest way to test if this is a factor will be to completely uninstall Vodafone Mobile Connect, and then dial-up using the VMC connection that you'll find left behind in the Network Connections section of Windows.
If your VPN then works successfully, we know it is the Optimisation Tools. If however you're still unable to finish handshaking, you'll probably need to take a close look at our
VPN Guides for further information on how to get this working correctly.
