Dongle connection problems

I have a dongle on contract.  I CONSTANTLY have problems with a "no device" message.  If I right click on the icon in the bottom right hand corner I can sometimes  connect.  I have spend time on the phone with the engineers who talked me through various things which sorted the problem then, but then it re-occurs.  I cant keep on phoning them as I have to call on 0870 number from my mobile which costs me an absolute fortune.  There is no Vodafone store in my immediate area as I would be camping on their doorstep! The most frustrating thing for me is that this is my only internet connection and I am studying online so battle to submit things relating to my course.

 

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP??

So that we can look into this for you please can you confirm the following;

 

Which dongle are you using?

Is it PC or MAC?

What O/S are you using?

What version of VMB are you using?

Have you tried to complete uninstall and reinstall the modem from scratch?

 

If you can let me know the above we will be able to assist you further.
