Hi all,

Yesterday (18-07-2014) I bought the device Vodafone Mobile Wi-Fi R206 and to this day I can not use it because they still have the message: Your Mobile Wi-Fi device currently has limited service as your vodafone UK SIM has not been able to register on the currently selected network.

Seller assured from within one hour will be activated SIM card.

I'm in a 3G network.

How to solve this problem?

Hi brzoo,

You can activate your SIM card on our website.

If you bought the device from a third party, it's best to speak with them as well as they may not have provided us with your details.

Thanks,

Matt B

Thank you for your reply.

Device bought as new in the Vodafone store in Lowestoft as Pay as you go.

I asked the store support for the registration and activation of the SIM card.
Everything was supposed to be done in the Vodafone store. I had to wait only to activate the card by the system that was supposed to take care about one hour.

Hi brzoo,

Any SIM activation can take a maximum of 24 hours.

It's best to reboot the R206 to help pull the connection through if it's not already up and running.

Thanks,

Matt B

Hi Matt,

Unfortunately, reset the device to factory settings does not help.
I tried everything.
SIM card may be bad registered for in your system. Because so far I have not assigned a number.
If I set the network search vodafone appears, I click OK, save, shows a prompt EGDE or 3G and I still have a Communication Service Limited and disconnected.

Hi brzoo,

There is a possibilty that the SIM is corrupt.

Please pop into your local Vodafone store, so they can get you a new one.

Thanks,

Ian
