Usb Dongle Sim In Data Card?

cootuk
Not applicable
I have bought a USB broadband dongle on the 15GBP/1GB pay as you go deal.
It's more convenient for me to put the sim from this into a datacard I have and use the
Vodafone Mobile Connect software to connect (rather than the Lite version on the usb dongle).
The VMC gave the option of contract or payg during installation - I choose payg and this all installs and connects ok.
Is this an acceptable use as I really prefer my enclosed datacard than the dongle sticking out.
Will the VMC software update my usage account correctly and not leave me open to any strange data charges?

Hi cootuk

Thanks for the post and welcome to our on line community :)

There shouldn't be any problem with you using the sim in the enclosed data card.

The data counter should give the usage, so you don't need to worry about getting charged for overuse :)

If your worried about the software version you've got though, take a look here and see if there's an update available.

Please let me know of you need anything else.

Many Thanks
