Using a PAYG Sim in a Samsung Galaxy Tab

Hi

I have a couple of PAYG dongles on the old non-expiring PAYG tarrif that I use on my laptop and netbook.  They serve me well for occasional use away from home.

I'm replacing one of the netbooks with a SIM free Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Can I use the SIM card from one of my dongles in the Galaxy Tab and receive the same benefits regarding tarrif ?  I only wish to use the tablet for mobile broadband, and not phone calls.

I'm nervous to try this in case it messes up the tarrif in some way without some reassurance.

Many thanks

Hi tricky_dickie, welcome to the eForum!

Good question!

The bad news is that those SIMs will not be set up to work in Galaxy Tabs, so I would not recommend it to avoid anything happening which costs you the SIM permanently.
