Vodafone Huawei K3765 Program Error

Program Error!

The type initializer for 'VMC.UI.CommonDialogs.DisplayMessages' threw an exception. System.ArgumentException: Font 'Tahoma' does not support style 'Regular'. at System.Drawing.Font.CreateNativeFont() at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(FontFamily family, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVertical Font) at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(String familyName, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVerticalFont) at System.Drawing.Font..ctor(String familyName, Single emSize) at VMC.UI.CommonDialogs.DisplayMessages..cctor()

Anyone know how to solve this?

Re: Vodafone Huawei K3765 Program Error

Hey chinyue,

Many thanks for your post regarding the error you've encountered on your dongle.

Have you any idea how this error came about?

Are you able to connect to the internet?

If not, what light sequence/colour do you see on the dongle?

To be honest, I've never seen this error before and I've spoken with our technical specialists and it's new to them as well.

Can you provide me with more information to work with and if you can answer the above questions too, that'd be great.

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Vodafone Huawei K3765 Program Error

Umm I just double click the 'Vodafone Mobile Broadband' Icon on the desktop and this error keeps popping up. I don't know how to connect to the internet but the light on the dongle is blue blinking. I just updated to the latest version and the error seems to be the same:

System.TypeInitializationException: The type intializer for 'Vodafonr.CommonDialogs.DisplayMessages' threw an exception. ---> System.ArgumentException: Font 'Tahoma' does not support style 'Regular'

at System.Drawing.Font.CreateNativeFont()

at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(FontFamily family, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVertical Font)

at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(String familyName, Single emSize, FontStyle style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVerticalFont) at System.Drawing.Font..ctor(String familyName, Single emSize)

at VMC.UI.CommonDialogs.DisplayMessages..cctor()

---End of inner exception stack trace ---

at Vodafone.CommonDialogs.DisplayMessages.ReportInitialisationError(Exception ex)

at VMC.ApplicationHost.Impl.Program.Run()

at Vodafone.MobileBroadband.StartUp.Main(String[] args)

If there's no solution yet, is there a way to connect manually without the use of the Mobile Broadband software? Thanks!

Hi Toki316 / chinyue

Can you post your msinfo32 logs please?

• Go to Start Menu.

• Type msinfo32 in the search bar and hit return to open the System Configuration Utility.

• Select File and Export.

• Enter a file name and save the file.

Once I have this, I'll pass on the details to our device specialist to examine in more detail, and get a work around for you.

Regards

Trev

Hi pernpang

If you can let us know the information that Trev has asked for along with what OS version that you are using then we can ask the specialist as mentioned above.

Thanks

Hi, I too am having the same problem and your customer services e-mailed me to post it here on this forum. My USB dongle is the K3570-z. Attached is the msinfo32 file you require.

Re: Vodafone Huawei K3765 Program Error

I have a fix if anyone is still having a problem with this error.

Simply downliad and re-install the Tahoma font (souds daft, but the vodafone software relies on this in it's application).

Once installed boot up the software as usual, and it will work

Any problems, feel free to ask.
