can I lock to 3G only?

It has taken me 76 minutes to get on to the forum today, 60 minutes of which was trying to log on to vodafone.

I suffer major problems as my K3570Z disconnects when it switches between 3G and 3G+, having been a user for 3 months I don't know why my patience has broken before, but knowing I have to top again shortly I am reluctant to pay another £15 for more ###### when most of my connection time is disrupted by drop outs and 25% or so is reloads because of the crappy vodafone software and dongle.

So Vodafone, what can be done? Can I lock to one frequency to avoid this? Is there a more stable version of VMB lite? If my dongle disconnects many times in succession, like the last hour, the software simply becomes unresponsive.

Having spent in excess of £100 with vodafone in 3 months I am reluctant to spend more, but don't particularly want to spend more buying another dongle from another provider either.

Re: can I lock to 3G only?

Hi krisby

Thanks for your post here. I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with this and I can completely appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

Unfortunately there isn't currently a  way of doing this within the Vodafone software, however we have fed this back before as something that our customers would like adding to future software versions. As soon as we hear more we'll be sure to let you know of any up and coming possible changes with the software.

Have you tried moving around to see if you can get a better signal strength at all?

Please let me know if you have any more questions and we'll be happy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne

Don't quite understand the problem. 3G+  (Light blue LED) will only come in when needed to transfer data, and in a poor signal area will simply not come in leaving just 3G (Dark blue).
