It seems you can't buy any products for number 07.........

I have had a mobile dongle for months now and have never been able to top it up online.

 

"It seems you can't buy products for number 07 ......... "   message every time.

 

I have reported this everytime via Live Chat and absolutely NOTHING has been done to fix it.

 

Do I need to look for another provider ?

As I mentioned above - I rang customer services and got them to do the top up for me with my card. I mentioned the message and she told me a lot of people were getting it and it was a known issue by VF and they're working on it.

So - just ring customer services to get the top up done and if loads of people do this, this should irritate VF into getting this fixed sooner rather than later!

Laura I have tried Live Chat and it was no help. See below.

I have had some emails from Ben_H with the same advice. Too many hoops to jump through. Your script just seems to point everyone at Live Chat and their script points us at phone help which has so many numbers I finally have to give up. Can you please confirm that if I call 3333048048 I will speak to someone who can sort out this simple problem?

Right. I have just called 03333048048 and bought a bundle quite easily. I would ratner do it online but phone is better than shop. But, My understanding of buying bundles was that they started when my current bundle expired which is 29th May. The bundle I have just bought expires on the 21st June. I appear to have lost 8 days. Could that be because my current credit came with the mobile wifi?

Thanks for your advice but I have followed the link and watched a rotating gear for a few minutes and then a message saying you couldn't find any help subject. How do I start Live help please?

To connect to the Live help team. From the menus, please use the ‘Looking for something else’ and ‘Can’t find what you’re looking for’ options.

 

If this doesn’t help, please try on a PC or laptop & not a phone, you need to leave the page open and an agent will become available. Try clearing your cache and cookies. If this doesn't fix the problem, try in another browser.

Well I have had a long chat with Vidya but I'm not much clearer now. I still cannot add credit to my account through My Vodafone and still get the same message as the title of this thread. I have tried putting 44 instead of 0 as the first numbers without any success.

As far as I can see I have to contact VF when my current bundle expires on the 30th May and 'they' will re-start the bundle I bought on the 22nd May. At the moment that bundle will expire on the 21st June. Is that going to happen? I'm not holding my breath.

BTW I am using a PC, well an Apple iMac.

Thanks Ben but I have given up on this thread. I have managed to buy a bundle by phone. So I will carry on with that method. I am really suprised how difficult it is to get useful help from VF support. The help pages are confusing and go around in circles. The Live Help is no better. The agents have a limited script which always ends with "you need to contact our help number" (Any one of three so far)
