Moving to Italy for 6 month with no WIFI. Can I use internet dongle?

I'm due to move to Italy in a few weeks and I've just found out that the house I'm going to be moving into does not have WIFI. I'm going to be bringing my laptop with me and I was wondering whether I can use those internet dongles to pay monthly and connect to the internet?

If not, is there any other way I can use my laptop to connect to the internet then?

Remember it's in Italy and I don't know whether that causes any issues?

Many thanks!!!

Hi buzzar

Thank you for your post and a very warm welcome to the eForum.:smileyhappy:

You can use a PAYG dongle whilst in Italy and you can see the costs here.

It may be more cost effective to use data on your phone with EuroTraveller.

Many Thanks

You may find it cheaper to get a dongle out in Italy with bundled data allowance, than use 'roaming' on a UK device.

a quick look on VFIT shows you can get a dongle with 5GB for €15 or 7GB for €20 a month... Even if you are tied in for 12 months, it will be better than £8 a day for 100mb
