Went into a store yesterday, bought a £10 PAYG Data SIM card with 1GB Data. Was told it was 4G. Came home connected it all up but can only get a 3G connection. I can see the 4G Network but it fails to connect each time I try. In a good coverage area (AL4 9JE), checked APN settings (web, web, SMART) ... Having looked at the vodafone website this morning it seems to imply that you have to buy a minimum of 2GB (£15) to get 4G (https://freesim.vodafone.co.uk/tablet-ipad-sim-card?tracker=58f8dj) and looking through the forums there seem to be numerous examples of people needing to get Vodafone to enable something on their account.
Please help as I'd like to get connected over 4G as sold to me, or upgrade as necessary.
