Unable to connect RAS 631

Hi Guys,

 

Hopefully you can help? I have a new dongle K3770 with an old SIM.

 

As I am not 100% certain what my SIM contract is, it was bought in good faith as the older type of SIM where the credit never expires (It still shows having £15 credit when I do a credit check) I have tried the following Connection APN settings,

 

APN NAME: SMART USER NAME : web PASSWORD: web

APN NAME: pp.internet.co.uk USER NAME : web PASSWORD: web

APN NAME: pp.internet USER NAME : web PASSWORD: web

APN NAME: pp.vodafone.co.uk USER NAME : web PASSWORD: web

APN NAME: pp.bundle.co.uk USER NAME : web PASSWORD: web

 

I keep getting RAS error code 631 and no connection no matter the above setting. Both VMB shows a signal and is happy to try and connect.

 

I guess there is the possibility that My SIM has not been used for so long it has been deactiuvated? But why would my credit still be showing as £15 AND I can see the Broadband SIM number in VMB. PLEASE HELP.....

Thank you for your post, the fault is described as 'The Port Was Disconnected By User' on the error codes provided by microsoft.

 

I would gladly take a look to see if this SIM is still active as it certainly sounds as though this could be a major factor, all you need to do is complete and reply to the email I have sent to the address that you registered with on here.
