vodafone dongle not working in birmingham

My vodafone mobile broadband lite usually works fine but as of wednesday morning it has completly stopped working. Using either 3g or gprs they both actually connect but then the internet is unable to upload. It seems although the host is not working but I cannot seem to find any recent postings about this so I am wondering if I am the only one? I called voda and they said that the network is down but gave me no idea as to when it would be fixed and upon reading posts on here I have found that it may possibly be a software problem. I'm living in the dy4 area. Any help would be apprieciated.
