Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

I had issues with a previous vodafone contract maybe 5 years ago. The whole of Blandford town centre ended up a dead spot for WEEKS because a tree had grow infront of the mast at Norden (Council offices).

Vodafone kept telling me they would be having the tree felled, i kept telling them they'd have no chance getting an ancient tree felled in a coservation area (especially one belonging the council on their land outside their offices!)

Eventually after numerour complaints Vodafone agreed to cancel my contract. How much do i regret rejoining them now....

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Hi Guys,

I can see that with the details that we passed over to our Networks Teams, they have raised a ticket for our engineers under reference 2415905 for site 4162.

At the moment I can’t see any timescales for a resolution however, they are continuing to investigate this issue for us.

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Thank you for the reply James, however the ticket number means nothing to me. There is still no fault listed on the faults board even though this has been going on for well over a week now, (there was a fault listed previously but it was signed off prematurely). So what sort of timescale are we looking at before an engineer even looks at this?

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Been on the phone to them again!

The operator i spoke to went through to technical support and again could only say yes there is an issue and its being dealt with as a matter of urgency now.

And to phone back when its all back up and running and then they can calculate how much to credit my bill with.

Regarding the Olympic reason he said possible but he was unaware of this but thats not to say it wasn't also a possible problem

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Still waiting for a real answer to what the issue is and how long we can be expected to be without service like this, in Blandford town centre i can only make calls and send texts, i can't receive calls (calls go straight to answerphone) or texts.

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum & SO42 New Forest area

You are not alone guys. Been having problems with msgs for a few days now. As of yesterday pm little or no signal at all!

If there is a problem Vodafone should at least come on and tell us what is going on. Poor customer service, I will be looking at my bill also this month and looking for an early upgrade for the problems caused and lack of information.

Re: S64 - Mexborough no 3G!

Here in Dorset w also have the problem  can not call any mobiles  or receive any callls in at all. This also applies to txt messages

Cant seem to find anything out about it either

This is the 2nd time this month this has happened I have a pay monthly and also a pay as you go on Vodaphone

And have been with them 15+yrs  Really feel like changing now if they dont inform customers what is going on

A lot more mobiles will be in use over this year (Olympics etc)  and they should have thought of this and covered it

Has anyone else still go troubles

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

I just did a test and mine is still not working, people receive my texts and I can call out (takes a couple of attempts sometimes) but i get through. As for the data that is defiantly not working!! this is so frustrating now because when I am in Bournemouth it works fine

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

I'm also in Blandford and can confirm that even though I can make outgoing calls, I am not able to recieve them, send\recieve email or access the Internet. The doesn't appear to affect all the handsets within the company, luckily our directors are recieving data via our sure signal!

I've been keeping an eye on this thread (and the Bournemouth one) with great interest. The thing that shocks me is that Vodafone have made no official statement regarding these issues, all the informing I have found has been shared via other customers. Very very poor customer service Vodafone!

Samsung Galaxy Ace or Network problems?!

Hello. We have two Samsung Phones on a business contract. Over the last week or so we have been experiencing problems - People are trying to contact us but cant reach us as it is either saying we are unavailable or clicks straight onto answer phone. Also we can not always make phone calls either. The phone doesnt register that we have had missed calls or anything to notify us that people are trying to contact us.

Also, text messages are coming through hours later or even the next day to notify us that we have voicemail messages.

This is not very helpful when we are trying to run a successful business but our clients can not contact us.

Our home postcode is DT11 7LX, but we are having the same problem wherever we go in Dorset.

Please can you help?

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

[ Edited ]

One of the problematic handsets appears to have started working this afternoon. Just recieved an incoming call and email is now synchronizing. However the other three (that I'm aware of) are still ringing to VM after a silent delay.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, email has now stopped....

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

I cannot believe there is still little to no response from Vodafone on this. As far as i can tell the majority of Blandford is suffering from this issue, in particular the complete town centre area.

If they want a set of postcodes where i have encountered problems i can reel off a whole list....

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

I work in Blandford, but live in Puddletown, The problem on the Vodafone network has been an issue for well over a week, and I am really disappointed that nothing is being done to rectify this problem. The silly thing is that first thing in the morning when I arrive in Blandford, my phone will hold an internet signal and update as necessary, but will drop out about 9.15 and them not work for the rest of the day. Like others, I can make calls and send texts, but cannot receive anything.

Please advise when this matter will be addressed.

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Hi All,

Many thanks for your posts.

When it comes to signal in different areas we are unable to provide a fault free service all of the time due to the nature of mobile technology.

Although we do invest a lot of money (up to £1 million) each day there are a lot of cell sites covered by a limited amount of engineers up and down the country, when a problem occurs we are not always able to access the site due to the land being owned by a 3rd party.

I have taken another look at the case reference that I have quoted in my last post and I can see that our network teams are still looking at this for you.

However I have sent an email over to our network teams to see if they can get this looked at in more details for us.

James

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Well as i said earlier mine was fine this mornng  but by lunch time all has gone again

Ben on phone to them again and was advised to use 2G instead of 3G  but that dont work either.  WAs told they dont know how long  and yes its to do with upates for Olympics.

I am all in favour of the Olympics  but Vodaphone should have prepared this so it don't effect customers

Lets hope it is back for good soon

Will be watching this thread with interest

Re: DT11 - Blandford Forum

Why don't Vodafone give an honest explanation of the root cause and an approximately ETA of when it may be fixed? (Instead of the same useless corporate spill).

I dread to think of the thousands of customers in the south and Londons areas that will leave Vodafone ASAP due to these outages.
