Re: GU35 No Network

They have also given me 50% off the next bill (got a text message confirming this - but only got the message when I went out of the area of course). I also asked about Sure Signal, and they have offered it for £25.

I asked for Sure Signal for free (as it would benefit others I work with) but told it is only for people who live in a bad signal area - oh the irony.

I think the point here is just get it fixed please!

Re: Outage in GU35 Area

Day Number 5 and still nothing! :smileymad:

Got a little blip of signal in the early hours of this morning and a couple of texts came through. But it disappeared as fast as it appeared.

This is completely ridiculous!!! For God's sake sort it out already!

Seriously considering going and buying an O2 Pay as You Go phone!

Re: Network coverage in Bordon GU35 0RY

The fault will not be repaired until vodafone pay the outstanding rent on the mast at weavers Down ,Access is through Longmoor Camp and the Mast is on MOD land Which is under Landmark Who Have Refused Entry to the engineers Who turned up to fix the Fault. This is not the first and will not be the last time, Seems to me that vodafone have broken there terms and conditions of there Contract to the customer By NOT supplying an adequate service to all there customers in the Bordon area

Re: GU35 No Network

I've just been on the phone to Vodafone for the second time in two days on behalf of the firm I work for. At first they tried to claim that there was no problem in the GU29 area, so I had to inform them that site 83 was down (surely that's the wrong way round?). They then admitted that there were two faults in our area but it was not classed as a major problem and shouldn't take more than a week to sort out. If this is not a major problem then what on earth is? I'm not impressed with their customer service at all.

Re: Outage in GU35 Area

Hi Everyone,

I appreciate this is causing frustration, and have received this statement today:

We can confirm that we have been experiencing problems in the Bordon area. Our network team has been investigating and hopefully identified the fault. However due to strong gusts of winds in the area, the team are unable to climb the mast to recify the problem. They are hoping to be able to resolve this as a matter of priority as soon as the weather improves.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to any customers experiencing problems at this time.

Thanks,

Tom

P.S. We're merging all posts into this thread to keep everything in one place, but feel free to keep posting. Thanks - TR

Re: Outage in GU35 Area

Well, looks like we have a bit of a signal at last.

Looking at previous dates we have been without signal, it is due to go down again christmas eve.

Will they fix it then?

Im buying myself and O2 sim card just incase, and ready for when I leave Vodafone.

VODAFONE - I think the least you can do is give us residents of Bordon a chance to end our contracts with you and move over to another supplier. That would be the best christmas present I would have ever had.

Re: Outage in GU35 Area

I've just lost signal again, I only regained signal last night, surely it can't be another outage already?

Exactly the same symptoms as last time, all our Vodafone based phones have just started displaying "No Signal" or "SOS Only".

Re: Outage in GU35 Area

Does not surprise me at all, cannot check mine at mo.

If any is on Facebook search for a group called "Vodafone signal is bordon" and ask to join it.

It is to try and get everyone affected together to hit Vodafone hard.

Re: Outage in GU35 Area

Jayzee - call the 01635 number as mentioned in one of the earlier posts - i vented my spleen at them and got the sure signal gratis - the bods on the normal 'customer service' dont give them away - they do however hang up on you if you ask too difficult a question.

Still at least we had a signal for nearly 24 hours....

Re: Bordon GU35

This is getting bloody ridiculous now. I am completely cut off again! How is it possible that a mobile phone network service is so shoddy??? This is 6 days now.

Re: Bordon GU35

Hi everyone

Engineers attended the site last Friday to replace some faulty hardware. This work has been successful and there have been no outages since then. Our engineers will be monitoring the site to ensure stability.

Thanks

J
