RG12 - Bracknell

[ Edited ]

The signal in parts of Bracknell is appalling, my iPhone4 and my work Blackberry spend most of their time with one bar of EDGE service,a and it is the same for my colleagues. Working in Bracknell is like being in the 90's.

Both of my smartphones are not overly smart when they have no connection (or very slow connection) to the web.

It has been this way for months and I am now reconsidering my options for when my contract renewal is due, as this level of service just doesn't work for me

Hi PGreen,

Please try the steps in our Network Troubleshooting thread.

If you are still experiencing the issue having completed these steps, post the template with your answers here and I'll have a member of the team get back to you ASAP.

Re: RG12 - Bracknell

I have to agree, the coverage in Bracknell makes Vodafone unfit for purpose.

Hi zrma91

Can you please post back your results to the troubleshooting guide above so the team can investigate this fully?

Thanks

Re: RG12 - Bracknell

Hi Matt,

Please see my second post.

We have 3 business phones in Bracknell; two of them constantly drop calls with no warning and the third can only be used outside in the garden.

Richard.

Re: RG12 - Bracknell

Hi there zrma91,

Thanks for your post.

I've checked your other thread and can't see where you've provided the information Matt requested.

Please could you at least let me know the full postcode of the affected area so we can check your local sites?

It would also be beneficial for you to let us know whether the issue appears to be on 2G, 3G or both.

Kindest regards,

LeeH

Re: RG12 - Bracknell

Postcode is RG42 2JT.

My phone continually switches from3G to 2G and I've been told by Steve in Vodafone 'Technical' that this could cause calls to drop, and then by Customer Services that this could not affect the any live calls, and then by Customer Relations that it would indeed cause the calls to drop.

Customer Relations answer - swap to 2G and don't use 3G.  What they fail to realise is that as a Director of three companies I don't have the time to continually change my phone settings every time I leave the house so I can receive fast data and then swap back to 2G when I get back to the office.

You technical guys are great; the rest of Vodafone sucks.

A deadlock letter is being issued and we'll take it to the Ombudsman.  If that fails we'll take it to the County Court - it only costs me £25, and it'll cost Vodafone a lot more to defend the action.  Win or loose I'll make Vodafone feel the same pain as I and my office staff are feeling.

Thanks for the reply.

Richard.
