TD1 - Tweedbank

[ Edited ]

Hi, network issues relating to calls only. Info completed as per template: -

1) No ability to make or receive calls anywhere in house. Texts OK.

2) TD1 3SP

3) Have not borthered swapping SIMS as we have 4 phones all using vodafone and all with thw same problem. Have also restarted phones etc.

4) No issues logged on faults board.

5) Does not matter if its 3G or 2G. Singal used to be EDGE but is now only standard signal G.

6) No errors just does not call anyone. When calling the mobile from landline, message says phone unavailable.

7) Notice this issue this morning, although signal changed from EDGE to standard last night.

8) Permanent issue.

Thanks

B

Re: TD1 - Tweedbank

I'm in TD1 ~ Galashiels and have the same problem.  I have 3 mobiles and have been able to receive texts, but can not make or receive phonecalls.  The message that comes up is 'Network Busy'.  I have tried with all 3 Vodafone Mobiles that we have and they are all the same!!

Hi, network issues relating to calls only. Info completed as per template: -

1) No ability to make or receive calls inside or out.

2) TD1 1RW

3) restarted phone

4) No issues logged on faults board.

5) Does not matter if its 3G or 2G. Used to EDGE but now showing GSM

6) No errors just does not call anyone. When calling the mobile from landline, message says phone unavailable.

7) Notice this issue this lunchtime

8) Permanent issue.

On a side issue my address is a good 5 miles from tweedbank on the other side of Galashiels, so unlikely to be mast specific.

Network problems ~ Mast Down, not sure to believe this!!!

I phoned Vodafone as I had finally had enough of not being able to make or receive phone calls.  The first person I spoke to wanted me to do hard system reset.  I explained that I was not the only one with this problem.  I was then transferred and I was supposedly the first person to make the complete to the person in Tech Department, find that hard to believe!!  Eventually I was told that the Mast was down in my area and it should be up and running in several hours.  I asked if they had it registered that there were Network Issues Nationwide and I was told that he was only looking at my postcode, so he had no idea, huh??  There was no customer service skills in the call what-so-ever!!  I can not believe the way Vodafone, who I have been with for 13 years are treating and responding to their customers.

Has anyone else phoned Vodafone and what response did you get??

OK, its going pear shaped again.

To update, I cannot get a reception at TD1 1RW, back to Network Busy, BB showing GSM

However I can now get a 3g signal, although poor at TD1 1EP, about a mile and half away. When I first posted I couls not get a reception there either.

Re: TD1 - Tweedbank

Have 3 phones in house on Vodafone. Can text and send BBM but no calls in or out.

When trying to call out get "no Circuit/channel available".

When will this be sorted?

Back to work tomorrow and need phone.

This has been since Friday - shocking service from Vodafone!!!!!!!

Re: TD1 - Tweedbank

I tried to respond to the request you made Wayne ~ Tech Team, but after I filled in all the feilds and clicked next I received this message:

Sorry, there seems to be a problem

We’re working as hard as we can to fix the issue. In the meantime, if you need to get in contact please send us an email using this link.

So it seems that the Network Busy is not the only problem that you are expecting!!!

Come on this now taking the ######.

I am annoyed that the phone is down, however what I am really fed up is that this is now the fourth day and yet no one official has even updated.

I wouldn't hold you breath about them fixing the issue.

I phoned up on the 31st and was told there was an engineer out on the site then, so obviously either a, You know what the issue is and therefore can give an estimated time? or b, You told a pack of lies, which is unacceptable for someone who is a paying customer.

So please can someone official please update us on the correct current situation

Re: TD1 - Tweedbank

Hi Simon

Although I appreciate you have only the information your given.

Don't you think that 4 days without a service and no updates is a truly awful service?

It's all very well saying subscribe to the topic, yes I have subscribed. But whats the point if no one ever post updates.

I am very fed up with this now, my only saving grace is that today is still a holiday up here in Scotland, but what happens tomorrow when work needs to contact me?

What about the 4 days so far, I have paid, without being able to use my minutes, texts and internet. My phone should be renamed a Brickberry, because thats all the use it is at the moment. I went out yesterday and there are a lot of angry vodafone customers in and around the town.

An update on the situation is a must and is well overdue. Is there anything you can do to chase this?

Thanks

Kevin
