Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

Hi Tech Team,

There is a lot of conflicting information here. Can you please confirm all the facts for us?

What you need to do is provide clear information to all the people concerned. Here in this thread there are many people affected by this problem. So you could go and get the correct information and post it here, so we could all see it.

Here's what you could get for us:

 - the cause of the problem

 - when it will be fixed

 - how we might be compensated

If you could come back to us today with that information, that would be great.

Many thanks.

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

13 March. Still not fixed. No service.

No response from Vodafone yesterday and none today as yet.

Please would it be possible to now respond to the queries from previous posts and also clarify the situation regarding the mast decommissioning? Thanks.

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

Hi Wayne,

Vodafone told Mum1000 that a mast has been decommissioned - is that correct?

Wayne - your signature says "I can answer any Vodafone related non-account specific questions."

Please can you answer the questions in previous posts?

Posters have asked specific questions - as you are aware they were not answered by the post.

Specifically has the mast been decommissioned?

Thanks.

14 March. No service. Still not fixed.

Has our mast been decommissioned?

Is it policy for Vodafone staff not to answer customers in an online forum?

It equates to a real life conversation being ignored.

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

Have to switch my phone to flight mode because it constantly searches for a signal to connect to, which runs the battery down and makes it hot.

Little or no signal s18 Dronfield for 3 weeks

Really mad now. Contacted Vodafone via live chat 4 times all I keep getting told is they are working on fixing the problem! That's after they finally admitted there was a problem. Already had one family member cancel their contract and go elsewhere. Can't wait till me and my husband can too. Even considering canceling early just so I can get away from such a shocking service

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

I have spoken to a guy called William at Vodaphone and he checked with technical and he came back and told me that the mast on Wreakes Lane had not been decommissioned but had been vandalised and it was taking longer to fix, when I asked for a timescale he could not give me one but said it could be days or weeks (not very helpful). I am on PAYG and I was told that I may be able to get a refund on my balance as I cannot get a signal in the area, I am going to change my provider.

3 weeks now by my reckoning. Both my son's Vodafone contracts are ending and they're not renewing them because of this. Warms my heart slightly.

Hi Tech Team,

Has the mast been decommissioned?

Has the mast been vandalised?

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

I have been having problems for 3 weeks. I get told a different story every time I have a live chat! My husband has just been on live chat for over an hour requesting to cancel his contract and they just keep fobbing him off and not putting him through. We have been with Vodafone for over 12 years. Now cannot wait to leave. Their customer service is appalling. I have spoken to lots of people on Vodafone in Dronfield all having the same problem. They just don't seem to care about their customers any more.

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

Hi everyone,

Is it possible for any of the posters to go and have a look at the mast or at least to get as close as possible and  visually see if it has been vandalised or if anyone is there doing work on it??  Maybe that will solve the issue once and for all!!!

I'm going for a jog after work. I'll try to have a look if it's still light enough.

Wouldn't it have to be before 5 to see if anyone's working on it though?

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

It's behind the factory on the brow of the hill on Wreakes lane. Difficult to see how it could get vandalised when the public can't get to it. I didn't see any repair men there.

Re: S18 - Dronfield - Derbyshire

Thanks to both of you - you're so much more helpful than the service provider we're paying for a service that doesn't exist!

Tech Team why are you repeatedly IGNORING the questions posted in this thread and responding repeatedly with the same paragraph that doesn't answer any questions?
