Changing contracts within Vodaphone

Hi all,

Could not find a question simmilar to the one I have.

I am aware (as is my son) that i can uprade in April, i would like to do so and would like to move up to the IPhone.  However my son has designs on my current phone (HTC Wildfire).

So my question would be Is there a way i can upgrade to the Iphone as normal but have a lower monthly rate (Capped) so that my son can use my phone so effectively 2 phone contracts but a low rate one which can be controlled.

Mt lad would want some usage on internet a few free mins and a few free texts...

any thoughts?

Phil

Re: Changing contracts within Vodaphone

There have been a number of posts recently about capped contracts.  The official Vodafone line is that they no longer offer capping.  This doesn't seem to prevent over-enthusiastic (to be charitable) salespersons offering it from time to time, but this inevitably seems to end in large bils and VF denying all knowedge of capping.   Beware...............

In that case can i upgrade early and then use my old mobile with a PAYG for my boy?  If so what would be the penalty to upgrade early to an Iphone4 on a 24 month contract?

Hi,

Things seem to have snarled up!

I had been emailed with a date to call back re an upgrade, but having spoken to the manager of the local shop i had popped into she has said that i need to wait till the 21st August before upgrading now...  Is this true?

Cheers

Phil

Re: Changing contracts within Vodaphone

As of February 2012 you can upgrade with vodafone within the last 50 days of your contract.  Any remaining days are added to your new contract.  Alternatively you can pay off a few months of your line rental minus the VAT to be able to upgrade a bit earlier.  I recommend you get in touch with the forum/vodafone twitter deals team who have better offers than those available in store or on the VF website.
