Due to a technical error your order has been cancelled.

Hello all, I tried to purchase the Nexus S White via the Quidco link for £13pm (100 mins/500txts,100MB data -24 month contract) but received an e-mail around 12 hours later saying that there had been a technical fault and that the order needed to be processed again. I did get a "order received" e-mail, too. (Order: #####) I then re-ordered the phone around 10am today and received the same "order received... we'll be in touch shortly" e-mail. Nearly 6 hours later and I haven't received any confirmation and am concerned I am going to get hit with the same "technical error". (order: #####) Could anyone shed some light on this? I think it's a great deal and I don't want to miss out as it ends Sunday.

Bah.
Just to clarify, you "bought" the Nexus S once and received the "Due to a technical error your order has been cancelled." e-mail/message. You then ordered it again and have now been waiting 24 hours for confirmation of the re-order? Was it for this same deal or different deal?
This offer did seem too good to be true...
(sorry mods for posting my order number, I thought it was just a generic number which was then authenticated by a credit card or whatever).
Looking around, I think it'd be best if I gave VF a call instead, I don't think these forums are for these kind of problems. I'll let you know how it went.

That's a shame.
Although I've never been on Vodafone before I have heard they are really good, so I had no hesitation in ordering from them. Hopefully these issues can be rectified before the experience becomes too sour. I don't mind the odd technical hitch, it happens. I know the iPhone 4s has caused all providers headaches, too,
Just tried calling VF but it wanted an account number or Vodafone phone number- neither of which I currently have. SO hopefully someone on here can help ![]()

I too have ordered this deal, and am yet to recieve any communication further to the automatic text response to my home phone telling me the phone was out of stock, received straight after ordering online. Now more than a week later i've still no idea as to when I'll recieve the phone. Could anyone shed some light? It's very difficult to get a straight respone out of the telephone staff.
Cheers

Has anyone actually received a response to this ?
I would like to know either way so I can order elsewhere if needed.

You're not alone on this. This also happened to me when I ordered my Samsung Galaxy through Quidco. I ordered my phone, got the confirmation email, then 30 mins later got the cancellation email. I phoned Vodafone, they could find no record of my order on their systems. I asked Quidco, they said to simply re-order the phone again, which I did. This time everything went through ok although I received a totally different format of email from the first time I ordered.
I week later my friend ordered a Nexus....and the exact same thing happened to him. Then his wife ordered one...the same thing happened to her too!
More than just a coincidence I think. More like something really wrong with Vodafone's ordering systems?

HI Wayne,
This isn't an issue for me anymore, it's already been sorted thanks. I was just pointing out that the "Technical Error" issue happens on many occasions.
Thanks.

Thanks Wayne,
I finally got a response from the support team. "Out of Stock".
Still no idea when (or if) my order will be fulfilled. Which leaves me wondering whether to wait or look for an alternative.
Disappointing that it I have to find out my order has been delayed rather than kept informed.
