Ending my contract

Can anyone help both my wife and myself have a phone contract and a internet dongle with vodafone. We have moved into a new house and have to hang out of windows to get signal on any of the contracts. Due to this issue we want to end the 4 contracts and move to o2 who have signal.

Re: Ending my contract

Hi Roberth

Before cancelling take a look at this Sure Signal see if this an option first,  since cancelling your account might mean in high settlement fees if you thinking of cancelling, then I would give customer services a call.

Hope this helps.

Re: Ending my contract

because you have moved during the contract you are a bit stuck.

THe sure signal mentioned above will help if you have a fixed broadband line

But it is pointless to have the dongle for home use now, so I would get the early termination fee as that will save you a bit of money

the ETF is your line rental ex VAT * remaining contrct time, you then get a further 2% back

Re: Ending my contract

Hi

thanks for the reply I have looked into the sure signal but this costs money aswell. I don't see the point in paying out more money to fix a problem with vodafone when the overall service has benn very poor. My internet dongle has been away for repair for 4 months so far this year which I have also had to pay for the contract during this time. All I seem to be doing is to spend out money all the time to keep vodafone happy, I might aswell cut my losses and move to another network. I was on o2 for years before vodafone and never had a single problem the only reason we changed was I got offered a better deal on vodafone but now it doesn't seem worth the little saving I made.

Re: Ending my contract

Hi roberth13 and welcome to the eForum

Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this and I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.

Unfortunately as you have moved house you would be ineligible for cancellation. You can however pay your early termination fee to cancel the contract. This works out as follows;

Monthly Amount x The remaining about of months left on your contract – VAT – 2% discount = Early Termination Fee

If you have any more questions please let me know and we’ll be happy to help.

Thanks

Wayne

Re: Ending my contract

Hi ghazz,

I’m sorry that your husband has been made redundant.

You will be able to cancel the agreement early however you will still have to pay the early termination fee which is the line rental for the remainder of the agreement before VAT with a 2% discount.

If you would like to go ahead with please follow the instructions on the PM that I have sent you and one of our team will be able to pick this up for you.

You can find your PM inbox here.
