First bill and no discount

Ive had my first bill taken out of my bank account and my discount i was told i would be getting has not been applied. Why is this? Ive now gone overdrawn with my account. Many thanks

Hello gemmar
If you have agreed a discount, the bill is generated without a discount and any discount is subtracted from the line rental charges at the end of the bill.
If you look at the end of your bill, you should see a credit for the agreed discount, if it is not there, come back to the forum and a member of the Tech Team will be able to look at your bill.
Your first bill will always be more than expected, you will have been charged on a pro rata basis for the first month up to the date of your billing cycle and, as line rental is always in advance, you have been charged one months extra line rental.
The following link from support will explain how your first bill is calculated.
Your next bill will be for the normal agreed amount with the credit for the agreed discount.
If you give Customer Care a call, they will be able to let you know your billing date and when your allowance rolls over each month.

Im on a 30% friends and family discount but the whole amount has come out of my bank account and it says the same on my bill? I have two phones with you so its come up to over £85 for my first bill when i was told it souldnt be more than £55. I have rang vodafone TWICE but they have told me the discount wouldnt start till next month, is this right?? My friend who works for vodafone who ive had the discount off says it isnt and so i should post on here

Thanks for your post here. Discounts start at the end of each month so maybe the discount was not applied in time for the previous month.

I would be keenly checking what you have agreed to and requesting the recordings, both myself and my wife recently joined Vodafone, both of us have been Lied to.
My wife has subsequently sent her phone back as they could not keep the promises they subsequently have admitted they wrongly made after listening to their own recordings.
I was made promises about 3 months free contract which despite 3 telephone callls about the same they are now saying I don't know what I am talking about and suggesting it is I that is lying!
Not exactly great customer service

Im going to scream!!!! iVE JUST CHECKED MY BANK ACCOUNT AND YOU HAVE TAKEN £85 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AGAIN YESTERDAY! This has caused me to go overdrawn yet again with another £40 bank charges occured!!! I not happy at all!!! I shall be calling in the morning to demmand that my contract be terminated! Youve done this to me THREE tImes in 2 WEEKS. The bank have given me back the charges once and will not be doing it again. What the hell is going on!!!??????
