New Vodafone customers

I was applied to unlock my iphone 4s locked on orange network and today I received this email below. I'm  pay and go customer and how will I get my money back if Vodafone are unable to provide an unlocking.

We are unable to provide an unlocking code as this handset is locked to Orange Network

If you want that phone unlocked you'll have to ask Orange to do it, not Vodafone.

so how i get my money back

it is locked on Orange but want to use on Vodafone and i have a friend have a iphone 4s locked on O2 and get it unlocked by Vodafone. That is why I get the request to vodafone and not on orange. the point is now how i get my money back

It is only the original network provider who can unlock the phones

Can you please explain what money you are trying to get back ?   Nowhere here have you given any indication that you've spent any money with Vodafone, nor what it was spent on - if we knew that then we might be able to offer more relevant advice.

I'm pay as you go customer and cost of £19.99 to get NUC so if Vodafone can't unlock my phone have to return the money deduct it from my credit to pay for your NUC.

Thank you for your post. If your phone is locked to Orange you would be required to contact them directly about their unlocking process. We can only unlock handsets that have been purchased on the Vodafone network and not any other. We would only take the £19.99 charge once the unlock has been actioned, as we're unable to unlock the phone no funds should have been taken.
