Re: Poor internet connection

I am also having major problems with the internet connection and I live in North Norfolk in NR27. It has been getting progressively slower over the last few weeks and now has completely vanished. I drove 40 miles south yesterday and still no internet coverage. I have just upgraded my work blackberry but am seriously thinking about changing to 02 which is my provider for my other phone which is having no issues at all and is providing an excellent service. What is going on?

Re: Poor internet connection

It is obvious from the number of views of this thread (888 and counting) that many people are suffering, Vodafone is being very unfair to new customers by not telling them the truth about the bad 3G coverage and connection speed. I believe we are responsible for spreading the words to other people to warn them about what they are getting themselves into, I don't think many people are checking this forum before starting a contract with Vodafone, so we need to mention this in other forums/websites.

Re: Poor internet connection

The only solution provided by customer services was to get a sure signal device, which despite having 2 contracts with Vodafone and 1 business phone I still had to pay for the device. Now signal is better at home, but guess what the sure signal device uses your internet connection at home, which means any downloads you do while at home will be via your home internet connection but still counted within your allowance??????

In addition, I can't find a solution for no/weak data conection when I am not a t home. If you have any suggestions, better than having to carry a sure signal device powered by and connected to my PC in my bag/my car, please let me know.

Re: Poor internet connection

I have had a VF iPhone 4S for about 2 weeks. Yesterday, I could not make a VoIP call in Westfield White City although the handset was showing 3G signal.

Last week, I was in Shepherd's Bush (outdoors) and I could hardly get EDGE forget 3G so the complains in and around that area are not far fetched from reality.

Frankly, I am extremely disappointed in VF internet. A network today is not defined by the calls it can handle but also the data (speed, latency etc) and I am afraid VF is failing on that.

Re: Poor internet connection

I have now moved office and home and I am still very disappointed by the network coverage. Checking the coverage map both areas are in 'High Speed' internet and 'indoor' coverage areas yet I can only connect via GPRS and phone calls are breaking. Vodafone always tries to blame everything else but its coverage. i am using my new HTC Sensation XE phone and it is definitely nothing to do with the phone especially that my work phone on O2 is connecting on 3G and very good connection for phone calls. Vodafone sucks !!!!

Re: Poor internet connection

Hi there bassal,

Many thanks for updating this thread.

Would you be able to let me know your new postcode either by reply or by updating your profile postcode in order that I can check for any local issues and coverage enhancements?

Cheers,

Lee
