Hi does anyone know what the policy is on ending a contract early due to a family illness? My nephew has had to return to New Zealand unexpectedly due to his mum being diagnosed with terminal cancer. I have had no help from Carphone Warehouse where his contract was taken out nor vodaphone customer services. Please can anyone help direct me to someone who will at least look with some compassion at this case. Thanks.

Not really a solution. I can't believe the lack of compassion I have received in trying to resolve this issue. He is no longer able to continue with the contract due to his having to return to NZ because of his mothers illness. Can anyone suggest who I may take my grievance to?

Hi grace131202.
Thank you for your post, and I am sorry to hear the difficulties your nephew is facing..
Noetic is absolutely correct, and I appreciate this is not the answer you are awaiting.
When a contract is taken it is for a certain length with a certain monthly payment, in return a service is provided. New Zealand is part of Vodafone Passport and a service is available to be used.
Unfortunately we cannot terminate an agreement based on these circumstances.
Many Thanks
