I have phoned Vodafone and they told me to go into Network, delete Vodafone and type it in again. That didn't solve the problem.
I am able to phone people and I receive texts, just unable to send them. Any ideas at all?

Have you tried the sim in another handset to see if its an account or handset issue
If you have and the other phone can send texts
take a back up of the C3 contents then try a factory reset (phone management menu)
If that doesn't work we can get more radical
