Hi there, the Nokia N8 PR2.0 (anna) firmware update is now being rolled out by Nokia

When can UK Vodafone customers expect this update on the OTA / Ovi suite?

- UK – all variants, except C7 Tmobile / N8 Tesco (no Over the Air update enabled in UK – OviSuite updates only)

so OVI suite updates should be alive today (but be paitient, rememebr the world and his dog is trying to access the update servers)

I have just managed to update, However please be aware by updating YOU WILL LOOSE QUICK OFFICE AND PDF READER.

Everything else looks good.

Just to update,

After you have installed Anna you have to install 2 additional updates to get office and the PDF reader back.

it's great to see that nokia have finally stopped the networks delaying firmware.

TBH I think they delayed there own version until the networks were ready,

And this launch has been a shambles,

the servers are swamped, completely overloaded with requests

i discovered it's easier to update with the NSU than it is with ovi suite.

It just offered me the update when i was connected by bluetooth to my n8 using ovi, but wouldnt let me install it unless i connect with usb! I connect with usb and it says no updates available, how annoying!

where can i get NSU to do it ?

I'm on an Orange unbranded UK cv model with the global Mobo replacement code,

OVI keeps giving me connection errors

NSU mostly does the same or just offers me no updates

i tried dozens of times with ovi and it never worked. but first time with the nsu. i've spoken to others who have seen the same.

@danielshaw007 there are a few reasons why you have to use a cable . not the least of which is that the update is 300meg

Woop, got it all working now and its great!!

If anyone has a problem installing the Anna update 1/2 and 2/2 afterwards try the built in software update on the phones menu.. if that fails too follow the steps here, worked a treat for me!

Has vodafone removed the connection logging part of the logs, or is that a bug?

Mine no longer logs data or wlan connections, only missed calls and such.
Also lost about another 10-15 meg of c drive, and gained some microsoft pap, that can be uninstalled.... but then the updater decides that your phone has not installed the update.

In future can updates actually be called what they are and not just silly generic names, a nice little link with a list of things that will change or be removed, or be forced on your paying customers, please.

anna is bigger than pr1.2 that's why you ave lost some space.

but unused space is pointless. if it's not being used it may as well not be there.
