Hi,

I was wondering how long it would take vodafone to release this update. Also if there was a possibility that they might provide two version, one as is, the other with all of the vodafone "stuff", as i don't use any of it so would rather just have the plain old update.

Any information would be appreciated.

Yea just saw, availability early next week, however its how long vodafone take to actually release their own version, with stuff that i just uninstal straight away anyway...

Can I also point out that Vodafone releases are often not available as OTA releases - so once we think it should be available, we should plug the phone into Ovi Suite to check for updates.  Its certainly where I found the minor app update the other week.

the good news is that 13.16 is available for UK unbranded handset atraight away, normally there is a delay.

orange and tmoblie customer are in luck as:

i wonder how long it will be for vod uk. it's normally about the time everyone else is getting the next update. so i'm going to guess 6 weeks.

Yea i just wish that vodafone wouldn't mess about with the software, i mean who actually uses half of the stuff? Vodafone maps, you've gotta pay for, when ovi maps is free...

PR1.1 (13.16) was released for vodafone handsets via OTA earlier today i think, i just updated to the new firmware and gotta say it does seem more responsive and before the update my 4gb usb flash drive wasnt recognised/supported by my N8 via usb-on-the-go but now it works like a charm

Yes, I installed it last night.  A couple of things that were not major issues but were minor niggles appear to have been fixed.

Its probably PR2.0 that we're all going to have to wait for, as that has a major upgrade to the web browser.

Excellent. Thank you for the update David, most appreciated. If Vodafone had said it would be available today, back on Monday then they wouldn't have lots of stroppy posts on their website. Perhaps something worth passing on to the powers that be.
