N97 Connection Error

Had my N97 for about a month now and I'm pretty infuriated with it. Turning its self off and restarting is by no means uncommon, but the real point of this post is the "connection error" message I've been getting for the last three days. It's temperamental, but I've yet to figure out any way of actually controlling it. Turning off and back on doesn't work, or at least not enough to make it a viable solution. The phone I try to call does ring for a second, which is handy as the person can call back and I can still receive calls fine (and access the internet and send texts)... But in my job I have to make calls every hour to the office - an automated line with nobody to call me back - and it is becoming very tedious.
I'll be damned if I'm sitting out a two year contract with a phone as unreliable as this.
Anyone else having this trouble and/or know of a fix?

Check you have the latest software update first.
No one in business can afford not to be confident that they can be contacted at any time.
If the update does not resolve the issue then get in contact with Vodafone to get this resolved without delay.
