Since ive updated to 2.0 my Ovi Maps has gone Pete Tong before that it worked perfect, my satnav keeps dropping out all the time. does anyone have any ideas how to sort it PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE

There was a fix released for ovi maps the last few days. if you open SW Update under your applications folder it should show that as an update available.
Well there was for mine any hoo, and its been running 'perfeck'

There is no SW update on my n97 are u using the lastest ovi maps 3.0 or 3.1..........

Odd to hear this!
Have you tried connecting your N97 to your computer and updating via the Nokia Phone Software Update Suite?
I'd also try a hard reset (popping the battery out whilst your phone is 'on'), as this will fix any cache issues that might be occuring.
Keep us updated with how you fare after you've tried the above
