Internet rumour has it that Nokia are gradually releasing a new firmware for the forgotten N96 ,from v12 to v20.045 suggesting a complete software rewrite, this will hopefully be released in the next few weeks, its currently only available in parts of spain.

Google n96 20.045 for the youtube video and other comments on other sites.

How long if ever will long suffering n96 vodafone users have to wait should this v20 firmware be released? Considering we are still awaiting vodafone firmware v12 for the n96 me thinks a very long time!!!!!

i would be surprised if this ever turns up on vodafone.

i guess it depends if they started ruining customising v12 or not. it is possible that they planned to do alternate versions.

Hi guys,

I'd love to say I've received some firm information either way with regards to V12 or V20, but I'm afraid we don't tend to find out ourselves until just before an update is ready for release.
