Re: Nokia Belle on N8

[ Edited ]

Hi djs1,

Can I just check if you tried simplebob15's suggestion?

It will certainly help to decipher where the exact issue is. A fix by a roundabout route can show which parts of the direct route are affected.

Hi

Yes I have already tried simplebob15's suggestion. (It didn't work!)

However I think I may have found the solution thanks to Nokia. After installing Nokia Belle you need to install the new version of Ovi store which can be found at http://lr.ovi.mobi/store/client-symbian-3/

I have done this and my wifi issue with Ovi store seems to be resolved, although I am still monitoring the situation. The reason I am a little skeptic is that I thought I had already installed the latest Ovi store a short while ago, may be it needed re-installing?

I hope this information is of use to others.

David

Re: Nokia Belle on N8

OVI store has been updated four or five times in the last few months,

for the absolute latest build see

Re: Nokia Belle on N8

Some apps that were compatable with Anna are not Compatable with Belle,

The Belle update also selectivly removed some apps from the phone

If you obtained your apps from the Nokia Store and they are compatable with Belle you should eb able to redownload them without charge.

For something like find and go, It's a voda app so its there responsibility,

Can I ask tho why you are paying for this service when the N8 comes with Nokai Maps and Drive apps for free,

Re: Nokia Belle on N8

Hi roony66,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I've asked for a confirmation as to whether this is compatible with Nokia Belle, and as soon as I get an answer I'll be on to let you know.

Re: Nokia Belle on N8

Hi again,

Apologies for the delay in getting this information.

Our technical teams have confirmed that Find & Go is not specifically supported on the N8. This may have worked previously, however as it was not officially available for the device this may explain why it no longer shows since the update. There are alternate applications such as Nokia maps or Google maps which can be used as alternatives.

I have also been advised that Find & Go is not currently compatible with Nokia Belle. Please note this does not rule out future updates to make this available.

Re: Nokia Belle on N8

When I connect to OVI Wi-Fi says it is not connected, although it is blue on the drop down menu which I assume means it is on. I would have thought it should show Wi-Fi is connected,
