Nokia C3 communication errors

Got my Nokia C3 yesterday. Have successfully set up for Internet browsing via our home WLAN. But when I try to launch communities (Facebook and Twitter) it asks which connection method (I select out BT Router) and then tries to Log In and eventually fails with a message saying network or communication error.

Then when I attempt to set up E-mail, it sits on the Ovi searching for updates page before eventually returning a Communication Errort Please Try Again.

The WiFi signal here is strong - a full 5 bars and this workd fine in my previous handset (Nokia Xpress Music.

I have set up the internet, wap etc config as per your website instructions so I am now at a loss. This in now my second handset in what appears to a pretty disastrous attempt to upgrade at the moment. I have effectively call, text, MMS and brower capability - all of which I could have had with a much cheaper tariff!

Re: Nokia C3 communication errors

Hello Marie

There has previously been a problem with WiFi access with the Nokia C3. If you are still in the 7 working day exchange, you would be able to return the phone.

Re: Nokia C3 communication errors

Thanks Anne

That sort of makes sense - if the phone keeps defaulting to trying to connect via G then it won't (we don't have any here). If it says "G" in top corner is that what it means? I am really fed up now as it took Vodafone a month to replace the last one (HTC) which was incapable of receiving calls - so if I have to get this replaced too they're just going to laugh at me....
